Jamestown Community College is a two-year college in the State University of New York system. JCC's main campus is in the city of Jamestown, New York in Chautauqua County. Located nearby is JCC's North County Extension Center in Dunkirk. JCC's second main campus serves Cattaraugus County in Olean. A fourth site is located in Warren, Pennsylvania. The college offers degree and certificate programs in many areas. Founded in 1950, Jamestown Community College was the first community college in the State University of New York system. The college has grown from an enrollment of 169 students attending classes at Jamestown High School to an enrollment of over 3,500 in a multi-campus institution. The Jamestown Campus is located on a 107-acre (0.43 km2) site at the foot of Chautauqua Lake in Jamestown, New York. The Cattaraugus County Campus is located 50 miles (80 km) east of Jamestown in Olean, New York. In 1987, JCC opened its Warren Center, located 25 miles south of Jamestown, to provide degrees in business administration and social science. The satellite operates under a contract with the Warren-Forest Higher Education Council, and it is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
