University of Arkansas at Little Rock, a Division I college in Little Rock, Arkansas, has announced the hiring of Neil Erisman as the program's first head coach. Coach Erisman comes from the University of North Carolina, where he has helped the Tar Heels for the past four seasons to a record of 41-28 and producing four NCAA All-Americans. In college Coach Erisman wrestled for Oklahoma State under John Smith with an overall record of 92-36 and a Big 12 Champion.

Coach Erisman was quoted saying "My family and I would like to thank Chasse Conque, Chancellor Andrew Rogerson and the UA Little Rock community for welcoming us to the Trojan family. I am very excited for this opportunity and I'm looking forward to getting to Little Rock to begin my work as the Trojans' first head wrestling coach."

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock wrestling program's inaugural season will be the 2019 - 2020 season and was started by a $1.4 million pledge from Little Rock businessman Greg Hatcher. It is the only DI college to offer college wrestling.
